When someone you care about is struggling, it is easy to worry about saying the wrong thing. You do not need a perfect speech to be useful.

Listen before trying to solve

Give the person room to tell you what the situation feels like from their perspective. Avoid rushing toward explanations or comparing their experience with someone else’s.

Offer something specific

Instead of only saying “let me know if you need anything,” offer a concrete option: a meal, a ride, a phone call, help with an errand, or checking in again on a certain day.

Pray with respect

Pray for what they actually asked for and avoid sharing private details without permission. Consistent, quiet support often matters more than dramatic words.

You do not have to carry it alone.

Let someone pray with you.

Share what you are comfortable sharing and let the PrayerKind community stand with you.
