Family can be where we experience our deepest love and some of our deepest worry. Praying for family does not require knowing how everything will turn out.
A prayer for family
May the people I love be surrounded by patience, protection, wisdom, and compassion. Where there is distance, may there be a path toward understanding. Where there is conflict, may there be restraint and honest conversation. Where someone is hurting, may they find support.
Be specific without trying to control the outcome
You can pray for a relationship to heal while also praying for healthy boundaries, wisdom, and courage. You can pray for someone’s wellbeing even when you cannot fix their circumstances yourself.
You do not have to carry it alone.
