Wanting a fresh start does not erase what happened before. Real change often begins with naming what went wrong, taking responsibility for what is ours, and deciding what we will do differently.
A prayer for a fresh start
May I have courage to be honest about the past without becoming trapped inside it. May I recognize the harm I need to repair, accept the boundaries others may need, and make choices that show change over time.
Forgiveness is not the same as pretending
Forgiveness and reconciliation are not identical, and trust may take time to rebuild. Pray for wisdom, accountability, patience, and healthy next steps rather than a quick return to normal.
You do not have to carry it alone.
