Grief does not follow a clean schedule. Some days may feel almost normal and another day can bring the loss back with full force.
A prayer in grief
May there be gentleness in the hours that hurt most. May memories bring comfort alongside the pain. May I have permission to grieve without pretending to be okay, and may caring people remain near even when they do not know what to say.
You do not need to rush grief
Support can be quiet. Sometimes the most meaningful thing another person can offer is presence, a meal, a message, or the willingness to listen without trying to repair what cannot be repaired.
Let someone pray with you.
